Good to know

Is Léelo free?
Yes, to start. Every A1 graded reader, two books you import yourself, and five hand-picked classics are free forever. Premium unlocks the full library across all six CEFR levels for $5.99/month with a 30-day free trial, or $49.99 once for lifetime access.
What levels does the library cover?
The full CEFR ladder: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. A1 stories use only present tense with no past tense yet, and the ladder builds up through subjunctive, conditional, and eventually near-native literary Spanish at C2.
Do I need to already know Spanish?
No. Start at A1 if you're a true beginner. If you've studied before, jump in at whichever level matches what you can already read.
How does tap-to-translate work?
Tap any word for a quick definition, part of speech, and audio pronunciation, drawn from an on-device dictionary or Apple Intelligence, your choice. Tap a whole sentence for a natural translation plus a word-by-word breakdown, using Apple's Translation framework.
Can I import my own books?
Yes. Import any Spanish EPUB from your Files app or iCloud Drive and read it with the same tap-to-translate tools as the built-in library. The free tier includes two imported books; Premium removes the limit.
Does my progress sync across devices?
