Terms of Service
The agreement that covers your use of Léelo.
Last updated July 5, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Léelo (the “App”), a Spanish reading application for iPhone and iPad published by Aaron Hampton (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
The App
Léelo provides graded Spanish readers, real Spanish classics, tap-to-translate word and sentence definitions, vocabulary tracking, and the ability to import your own EPUB files. Reading and vocabulary data can sync across your devices through your own iCloud account.
Free tier and Premium
Every A1 graded reader, two books you import yourself, and five hand-picked classics are available for free, indefinitely. Léelo Premium unlocks the full library across all six CEFR levels and removes the import limit. Premium is offered as:
- A $5.99 per month auto-renewing subscription, with a 30-day free trial for new subscribers, or
- A $49.99 one-time Lifetime purchase, with no recurring charge.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. The Lifetime option is a single payment with no renewal. If a subscription lapses or is canceled, your library access returns to the free tier, though the two most recently imported books remain readable, and your saved words and reading history are kept.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its standard policy, not by us. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your own learning and study. You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the App or its content except as permitted by the App Store’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which also applies to your use of the App.
Your own content
If you import your own EPUB files, you’re responsible for making sure you have the right to read and store that content. We don’t inspect, transmit, or claim any ownership over files you import; they’re processed and stored locally on your device and in your own iCloud account.
Content accuracy
Graded readers, classics, definitions, and translations are provided for learning purposes. We work to keep them accurate, but machine-generated translations and definitions may occasionally contain errors, especially for idioms or ambiguous phrasing. Do not rely on the App as the sole source of truth for professional translation, legal, medical, or other high-stakes use.
Disclaimer of warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its “last updated” date. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the publisher resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
